The Tata Bolt 1.2T

I’ve had the Tata Bolt for almost a month and a half now, and it has been quite the companion. Especially since I spend a lot of time commuting between Pune and Mumbai. As far as the interiors go, Tata have most certainly come a long way since the Indica Vista. The quality may not be better than any of the competition but it’s not sub-par either. The entertainment system is surprisingly good and makes the commute to Mumbai seem a lot shorter than it is. Plop it in sport mode and you instantaneously see a stark difference in the way the engine responds. Although fair warning, Sport brings the mileage down by a considerable amount. In the city though, it’s light and easy to drive, and more importantly extremely easy to park. That may not seem like a big deal but it becomes almost quintessential when you have to spend half your time gallivanting in Mumbai. Even in the city’s putrid excuse for roads, the Bolt’s suspension set up just takes everything in its stride. All in all, the Bolt has been a stark contrast to what I had thought it would be, in the best way possible.
