Jehan Daruvala continues to win in the Toyota Racing Series

Jehan Daruvala has had a cracking start to his 2016 racing season by picking up his second victory in the Toyota Racing Series at the Terentonga Park circuit in New Zealand.

Daruvala looked mighty competitive all weekend after setting the fastest lap at the end of the practice sessions on Friday with a time of 54.169 seconds. His qualifying performance could have been better as he started the race heading the fourth row of the grid. His team-mate Lando Norris harried him throughout Friday and took pole on Saturday’s qualifying.

Nevertheless, Daruvala managed to trump the leaders in securing his second race win in the series. However, this time around he was just 0.305 seconds ahead of championship leader Norris. Daruvala in his triumph also bagged the fastest lap of the race with a time of 54.095 seconds.

With two races left on Sunday, Daruvala will hope to climb up a few spots on the championship table and get closer to team-mate Norris.
