Toyota India to launch the virtual GR Supra GT Cup 2020 soon

The lockdown put a hold on motorsport events across the globe. Fortunately, racing enthusiast’s and carmakers found a way around it and sim racing and virtual Grands Prix have now gained tremendous popularity. In the wake of Volkswagen India’s virtual racing championship announcement, Toyota India also has announced its e-racing contest that was announced globally last year.

TGR will begin its India journey with the first-ever ‘GR Supra Gran Turismo (GT) Cup 2020’ e-motorsport contest. Racers must own the GR Supra, within the digital realm on Gran Turismo Sport driving simulator on PlayStation4 and an online account to compete. Top three players on a national level will be rewarded with prize equivalent of Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively and the top ten winners will be gratified through Gazoo Racing merchandise.

Apart from e-motor sporting, the Toyota will also engage enthusiasts with the GR quiz contest- an opportunity that will open up the contest for people who don’t currently own PlayStations. Ten winners of the quiz contest will be rewarded with PlayStations which will further enable them to compete in the e-motor sporting contest.
