Ferrari sets record wins at the International Engine & Powertrain of the Year award

The 21st edition of the International Engine & Powertrain of the Year saw Italian powerhouse Ferrari rake in the awards. The brand’s 3.9-litre V8 took the overall title for the fourth year running. This is a new record in the event’s history. The ceremony, held in Stuttgart, Germany, saw Ferrari’s tally of International Engine & Powertrain of the Year awards rise to an impressive 31, bested only by BMW and Volkswagen/Audi in the list of manufacturers with the most awards accrued till date.

In this year’s event, there was a change in judging criteria from cubic capacity to power output. This panel of judges changed the criteria to ensure a level playing field with respect to hybrid powertrains.
