#BestOf2017 Performance Car – Volvo S60 Polestar

The Volvo S60 Polestar is Volvo’s first foray into the performance car category in India, and the S60 shines as brilliantly as anything from the more established German trio. The S60 Polestar gets the same 2-litre four cylinder Drive-E engine from other modern Volvos but it is supercharged and turbocharged like the engine you get in the XC90 T8, but without the electric motor. It’s the same engine block but everything from the intake to the downpipes to the turbocharger has been worked on to make the S60 Polestar’s powertrain sportier. The S60 also gets a Haldex all-wheel drive system for better traction and gets a 8-speed automatic gearbox. 0-100kmph comes in 4.7 seconds and the Polestar will go on to 250kmph. The chassis is stiffer by 80 percent and the S60 Polestar displays commendable poise while cornering.
