Hero Electric has taken yet another step towards a pollution free environment by launching an electric scooter called the Flash priced at Rs 19,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this launch, Hero has targeted early adopters of electric mobility and also people who are looking to buy an electric scooter for the first time.
The electric scooter comes with a claimed range of 65km per charge and has a 250 Watt motor that is coupled with a 48-volt 20 Ah VRLA battery. The Flash is available in two choices of colour (red-black and silver-black) and comes with an under-seat storage compartment as well. The e-scooter also comes with a complete short-circuit protection as well.
At the launch, Sohinder Gill, CEO of Hero Electric said, “With Flash, we are moving further ahead with our vision of making India an electrically mobile nation. It weighs only 87 kilos, helping it score very high on maneuverability.”
Other features include magnesium alloy wheels, telescopic suspension and a full-body crash guard as well. Electric scooters like the flash do not require a driving license to ride on public roads. That, along with the competitive pricing gives it the potential to be extremely popular among young users.
