Ford is set to launch its new Endeavour in January 2016. The car would be available with two engine options which is a 158bhp, 2.2-litre four-cylinder and a 197bhp, 3.2-litre five-cylinder diesel engine. The 2.2-litre four cylinder engine would have an option of either a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission while the 3.2-litre five cylinder engine will get a six-speed automatic transmission. All wheel drive would be optional for the 2.2-litre engine while the 3.2-litre engine would get all wheel drive as standard. The Endeavour would be available in two levels Trend and Titanium.
The car would be equipped with dual airbags, ABS, traction control, hill-start assist on the safety front. Other features include Ford MyKey, eight-way power adjustable front seats, Ford SYNC infotainment system with touchscreen and voice control, CD/MP3 player, Bluetooth and aux connectivity with steering-mounted controls, dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors, powered tail-gate and cruise control.
The all wheel drive variants will be equipped with Ford’s Terrain Management System and hill descent control. The new Ford Endeavour goes up against the upcoming Toyota Fortuner in the premium SUV segment. Expect the new Ford Endeavour to priced between Rs.20-25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
