Skoda showcases the Vision E concept and the Karoq at the Frankfurt motor show

Skoda took the wraps off the Vision E concept at the Frankfurt motor show. Skoda believes that the Vision E is the future of the increasingly electric, autonomous and connected automotive industry. The Vision E will be a level 3 autonomous vehicle in 2020. It is slated to receive an electric motor with 301bhp and a range of 500kms. The Vision E, Skoda claims will be in series production in 2020. Skoda reiterated its focus on SUVs and said that SUVs will play a key role in the company’s portfolio going forward. Skoda also talked about its plans of electrifying its model range step by step. It said that there will be a Skoda Superb plug in hybrid available by 2019 and by 2025 there will be 5 all electric models in the Skoda lineup. Skoda used the occasion, to unveil the Skoda Karoq. It was claimed that the Karoq is a direct result of the increasing demand for the Kodiaq.
