Tata Tigor XM variant launched

With the launch of the XM variant, Tata motors has extended the Tigor range. The new variant, priced at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), sits between the base XE and the top of the line XT variant. Added equipment on XM trim includes manual central locking with key, power windows, auto door locks, follow me home lamps, LED fuel gauge, interior lamps with theater dimming, full wheel-covers, full-fabric seat upholstery and a ConnectNext Infotainment system by Harman with four speakers, USB, AUX and Bluetooth.

Powertrain options remain the same, a 1.2-litre petrol motor pumping out 84bhp of power and a 1-litre diesel motor pumping out 69bhp of power. It is available only with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, PVBU, Tata Motors said, “We are constantly working towards filling in spaces in each segment and Tigor XM is our response to this growing segment. As per our turnaround strategy, we are working with a renewed focus and energy to improve our market share and bring products faster to market.”

Tata launched the Tigor back in March 2017, and since then it has received a good response from customers. Prices start at Rs 4.58 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and it rivals the likes of Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Volkswagen Ameo.
