Volkswagen commences Ameo pre-booking from May 12

Volkswagen India has announced a 17-city roadshow for the Ameo as a build-up to its launch that’s expected towards the end of next month. The company has opened bookings for its first ever compact-sedan across all major cities, with the roadshow starting from May 12.

Prospective customers will also be able to access details about the car from the mobile application or the Volkswagen website. The mobile application will be made available on Android as well as iOS platforms.

On this occasion, Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “Volkswagen Ameo is a truly special carline designed specifically for our Indian consumers. With the Ameo, we seek to amplify our Volkswagen India family and reach out to customers in the Tier II & III markets. Through the Ameo, we cater to the needs of discerning Indian customer, by introducing superior safety, build quality and drivability, in the compact sedan segment.”

The Volkswagen Ameo made its world premiere at the Delhi Motor Show in February and will be available with two fuel options: 1.2-litre 3-cylinder MPI and 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TDI engine. Dual front airbags and ABS will be standard fitment across variants. Since the segment is also highly feature driven, the Ameo will come equipped with first-in-segment kit like cruise control and rain sensing wipers along with static cornering lights.

The Roadshow starts from Pune and will be held in Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Delhi, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Cochin and Mumbai.
