Volvo S60 Cross Country launched at Rs 38.9 lakh
The S60 Cross Country, naturally, is based on the S60 sedan, but it does sport a few changes. On the outside, the Cross Country gets plastic cladding on the wheel arches, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and a honeycomb grille up front. The most important change comes in the form of higher ground clearance. The Cross Country has a 201mm ground clearance giving it the extra edge to go beyond city limits. Inside the cabin, the S60 Cross Country sports heated front seats, gear shift paddles, electrically heated rear windows and sunroof.
Apart from this, the Cross Country comes with an array of safety and convenience features as standard, which include Whiplash protection, inflatable curtain airbags, driver and passenger airbags, Emergency Brake Assist, Hill Decent and Assist Control, Park Assist front and rear and, Dynamic Stability Traction Control (DSTC) Intelligent Driver Information System.
Powered by 2.4-litre D4 motor, the S60 Cross Country makes 189bhp and 420 Nm of torque and is mated to an automatic six-speed transmission. The engine is the same 5-cylinder mill from the top end S60 sedan but instead of making 213bhp, it comes in a detuned state. The S60 CC also gets AWD but is predominantly front wheel driven. Power is sent to the rear wheels only when needed.
We’ve driven the S60 CC a few days ago, here’s our review.
