Mahindra has launched a limited edition of the XUV500, named Sportz with minor cosmetic tweaks to counter the Tata Hexa. Available only in the top-of-the-line W10 trim, the Sportz variant is priced at Rs 16.6 lakh and Rs 17.6 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), for the manual and automatic transmission, respectively.

Among the added design elements include decals on the hood, ORVMs and doors. Similarly, contrasting colour panels make it to the fog lamp bezel, door handles and roof rails. To go with the Sporty theme, the brake calipers are painted in red and the alloy wheels too get an all new design. The cabin remains the same as on the regular XUV 500, except the addition of added badges on the dashboard as well as the key fob.

The Sportz variant is still powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk140 engine that churns out 138bhp and 330Nm, mated to 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
