Maserati launched the 2018 model of their four door luxury saloon – the Quattroporte GTS in India. The car is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 motor that pumps out 523bhp of maximum power and 710Nm of peak torque. The car can sprint from 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 310kmph, and it is also the fastest four-door luxury offering from the automaker.

It will be offered in two trims – the Granlusso and the Gransport. Granlusso emphasizes on luxury. It features chrome inserts in the bumpers, 20-inch Mercurio rims with black brake callipers, body-coloured side skirts, a discreet front spoiler and Granlusso badging on the wings. Gransport is a sportier version. It gets 21-inch forged aluminium Titano wheels with red brake callipers, more aggressive design bumpers, Saetta logos and blue inserts in the Trident, giving it a more sporty appeal. Other traditional Maserati design elements such as the imposing front grille, the Maserati Trident, triple-slats on the sides and the bulbous proportions also make their way into the updated model.

The same approach is carried in the interiors as well; the Granlusso ups the luxury quotient with the Ermenegildo Zegna silk upholstery, Radica open-pore wood trim on the dashboard and a leather wrapped steeringwheel with wood inserts. The Gransport on the other hand features 12-way power adjustable leather sport seats, sport steering wheel with aluminium gearshift paddles, Inox sport foot pedals, fine-grain extended leather and the classic Maserati analogue clock with embedded GTS badge. Standard equipment includes a 7-inch TFT display in the centre console, a 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and smartphone mirroring functions, air-quality sensor and soft-close doors.

The 2018 Quattroporte GTS GranLusso and GranSport range will be available at an average price of Rs 2.7 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) depending on the customization. Deliveries of the car will commence at the same time everywhere across the world.
