Tata Hexa launched with prices starting at Rs. 11.99 lakh

Team Evo India

Tata Motors has launched its much awaited MPV, the Hexa today, with prices starting at Rs. 11.99 lakh.  Bookings for the car have been opened since November and with such aggressive pricing, we expect the MPV to bring in decent numbers for the Indian giant.

The Hexa gets Tata’s 2.2-litre litre Varicor engine, and is available in two states of tune — making 320Nm in the lower XE variant and 400Nm in the more expensive XM and XT variants. The XE also gets a 5-speed manual while the XM and XT get the option of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. The XT can aldo be had with the option of all-wheel drive, however only with a manual gearbox. The Hexa gets four drive modes as well — Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road. Fully-loaded, it comes with a host of features — Hill hold and hill decent control, ABS and EBD, ESP, six airbags, Harman’s ConnectNext infotainment system paired to a 10-speaker JBL system.

The Hexa comes with the option of six or seven seats. With Tata Motors offering plenty of combinations to customise the car, it might just be able to make a mark in the Indian market — something that the Aria never managed. Combined with sporty looks and an attractive price tag, the Hexa makes for a great package overall.

Our editor Sirish got his hands on the Tata Hexa a couple of months back and you can read our review here.
