F1 2016: Debutante HAAS VF-16 explained

Meet the Haas Formula one car, the only Formula one team that also happens to own a Nascar team. The newest kid on the formula one grid, christened the VF-16 will be powered by a Ferrari motor. Interestingly the Haas VF-16 gets its name from the VF-1, which was a CNC machine originally manufactured by Haas in 1988. Other than being powered by a Ferrari motor, the team also has a technical collaboration with Scuderia, and have been using the outfits wind tunnel to bring the VF16 up to spec in the aero department.  Team Boss Guenther Steiner is stated that in their first year their objective is not to shock and awe but to stay in the points, to show the world that they can do the job and earn the respect of the fans and even more importantly their competitors in the paddock.  Behind the wheel for the new car will be Esteban Gutierez, who will be returning to formula one after a year as Ferrari’s test driver. Second slot will be taken by RomainGrosjean who has joined Haas after his former team Lotus went under.
