BMW M760i xDrive unveiled

BMW has taken the wraps off the M Division version of their flagship luxury saloon, the M760i xDrive. This will be the company’s 7th M car after M3, M4, M5, M6, X5 M and the X6 M. The 7 Series was launched recently in India with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel and a 4.4-litre V8 petrol mill. It’s now got a range topper internationally and it is called the M760i. The model comes with sports exhaust system, 20 inch lightweight alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot series tyres. The interiors are also retouched with a three spoke steering wheel and Piano black trim with V12 badging on the centre console to compliment its sporting credentials.

The car has got a monstrous 6.6 litre, twin-turbo V12 petrol motor that produces max power of 600bhp and max torque of 800Nm. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that now sends power to all four wheels via the xDrive system. BMW claims a 0-100 sprint in 3.9 seconds with the top speed being electronically limited to 250kmph. The 7 Series comes with air suspension that self-levels according to the speed of the car and can be controlled manually as well to increase ride height when needed. The car also has an active steering system which slightly turns the rear wheels for improved maneuverability. The car will go on sale internationally next year but there is no indication if it will make it to our shores just yet.
