Mahindra’s TUV300 gets a powerful 100 bhp mHawk100 engine
Mahindra has launched the TUV300 with a more powerful mHawk100 engine which delivers 100 bhp and 240 Nm of torque. The mHawk100 engine will be incorporated in the top end variants of the Mahindra TUV300 range. The TUV300 mHawk100 will come in two variants. The manual T8 variant is priced at Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the AMT-equipped T8 at Rs. 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new mHawk100 engine is similar to the mHawk80‘s unit, a 1.5 litre diesel engine with 2-stage turbocharger. with some tweaks to improve power and torque outputs. While the power has stepped up from 84 bhp on the standard TUV300, to 100 bhp, the torque has gone up from 230 NM to 240 Nm. Inside the cabin, the 2nd row gets better under-thigh support and ISOFIX child seat mounts.The 100 bhp TUV300 will be sold simultaneously with the current TUV300 which incorporates mHAWK80 unit.
