Mercedes-Benz opens its first service centre in Salem, Tamil Nadu

Mercedes-Benz is actively expanding its reach in South India with its new workshop in Salem, Tamil Nadu. It has partnered with Sundaram Motors for operations. It is also the first luxury carmaker to enter Salem.

The workshop has five bays for maintenance and repairs to service all cars in its Indian portfolio and is spread over an area of 15,000 sq.ft. It is located near Kadhampatty bypass in Konerikarai.

“India is an emerging luxury car market and tier II & III cities like Salem will play an important role in tapping the true potential of these markets. With the inauguration of Sundaram Motors Salem, we are pleased to venture into yet another growing luxury car market in India based on our ‘Go to Customer’ strategy. With the introduction of Sundaram Motors, we are deepening our commitment further and providing ‘modern luxury’ in its truest form to our customers in and around Salem.” said Santosh Iyer, after-sales and retail training, Mercedes-Benz India at the event.
