The Nissan GT-R makes its way into the Limca Book of records

On the eve of Republic day, while everyone is awaiting for a nice and relaxing holiday, Nissan India have entered the Limca Book of records for the world’s largest outline of a country map. The location Nissan chose to accomplish this feat was the dry lake bed of the Sambhar Lake situated in Rajasthan and the vehicle which was setup for the challenge was the Nissan GT-R which was launched in India last year.
The Nissan GT-R, piloted by professional rally driver Rahul Kanthraj, was guided by GPS co-ordinates and drone cameras for outlining the approximate outline map of India. When completed, the map was 3km in length, 2.8km in breadth and had an overall perimeter of 14.7km. Officials of the Limca book of records confirmed the achievement and the record is to be included in the 2018 edition of the Limca Book of records.

The GT-R comes with a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that sends 562bhp of power and 637Nm of torque to its four-wheels via a all-wheel drive system and a 6-speed dual clutch gearbox.
This is Nissan India’s way of saluting 68 years of becoming a secular and democratic country, and what a way to do it!
