Volkswagen unveil T-Cross Breeze

Volkswagen are definitely turning heads at the Geneva Motor Show with their new concept car, the T-Cross Breeze. This is the smallest SUV to ever be made by the German marquee. Plus its a droptop. Whats not to love about it?

When we said small, we mean really small. The T-Cross is based on the Polo, and will be filling up the empty space under the Tiguan in VW’s SUV portfolio. The concept is fitted with a 1-litre turbocharged engine which makes 108bhp and is mated to VW’s seven-speed DSG. It takes a little over 10 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100kmph.

The car has been styled under Volkswagen brand design head, Klaus Bischoff and takes a lot of cues from the Volkswagen T-Roc, a concept that was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show back in 2014. The T-Roc that was showcased was a three-door version but it will be going into production as a five-door SUV by 2017. Both models sit on Volkswagen’s highly flexible MQB platform.
