Day 21: Keeping it short and sweet

Day 21: Keeping it short and sweet

What a brilliant city and what an amazing weather. Coimbatore never ceases to impress me, every time I come here. But we had to bid adieu to our machas and head to the actual buddies in Bangalore. You see, every one of us has a friend in the IT capital of the country. The boys had their own plans and were planning to go out for a couple of drinks after the drive. And we had scheduled a Robin Hood Army Drive in the city for the next morning. The boys were looking forward to getting to Bangalore for more reasons than one then and the short distance ensured that we reached here by afternoon. However, Google Maps initially suggested an hour’s drive to cover the final 60km stretch. Which actually took 2.5 hours in the end! I was recently told that an average commuter in Bangalore spends over 51 hours at a standstill, every year! That’s over six working days. I’m happy for not having moved to Bangalore!

The boys headed straight to Toit, a well-known lounge in the city after a relatively short stint that included lots of ghee roast dosas and idlis. As for me, I had plans to head out but the long drive has already started taking a toll on me, it seems. A painful headache ensured that I stayed back in the hotel while friends paid a visit to my room. Bengaluru turned out to be more of a hospital experience for me than anything else!

The Ceat Milaze tyres have been performing really well so far. We have put them through harshest terrains possible in the North East, tested them around corners and even their high speed abilities and they have passed he tests with flying colours we must say. There hasn’t been a single puncture on the trip so far and it’s almost close to 10000km in this trip already! Way to go Ceat!
