Ducati has launched the new Multistrada V2 and V2 S models for 2025 in India. The launch underscores the growing demand for middleweight adventure tourers in the Indian market, with the Multistrada V2 family targeting the likes of the Triumph Tiger 900, BMW F 900 GS, and the Kawasaki Versys.

Ducati Multistrada V2 Engine and Body

The 2025 Multistrada V2 is designed to be lighter and more agile than its predecessor, weighing 199 kg in running order without fuel — a reduction of 18 kg compared to the previous model. The chassis is completely redesigned and paired with a new Ducati V2 engine. This 890 cc 90-degree V-twin produces 113 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm, with valve clearance intervals set at every 45,000 km.

The frame consists of an aluminum monocoque, a steel trellis rear subframe, and a cast aluminum swingarm, borrowing philosophy from the Multistrada V4. The bike features ergonomic enhancements, a lower seat height, and improved passenger comfort with adjustable seat options and revised rear attachments for top box and side cases.

Ducati Multistrada V2 Technology

A core feature is the benchmark electronics package. Riders have access to five Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro, and Wet. Each mode adjusts parameters for engine response, ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control. The Multistrada V2 S includes semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension DSS, managing comfort and stability, and the minimum preload function to lower the rear suspension for easier ground contact.

Other standard equipment includes cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Quick Shift DQS 2.0, Cruise Control, and a USB dashboard socket. The new 5-inch TFT dashboard interface is multilingual, and additional features on the S variant include the Ducati multimedia system and a turn-by-turn navigation option. The new Ducati Brake Light EVO features emergency flashing during sudden braking, and the Coming Home function retains low beams after ignition is switched off for added utility.

The Ducati Multistrada V2 series is compliant with Indian E20 fuel regulations. Both models are available at dealerships across India from the launch date. The price for the Multistrada V2 Ducati Red is ₹18.88 lakh. For the V2 S variant, pricing is ₹20.99 lakh for Ducati Red and ₹21.29 lakh for Storm Green (ex-showroom India).
