TVS Motor Company launches TVS Ntorq 150, India’s first hyper-sport scooter with introductory prices starting from ₹1.19 lakh. It brings various new and first-in-the-segment features such as a hybrid assist system, quad-projector LED headlights, single-channel ABS at the front, traction control and an exposed handlebar design with a floating TFT cluster screen. Here’s a look at everything this hyper-sport scooter offers.

TVS Ntorq 150 design

The Ntorq 150 scooter looks radically different to the Ntorq 125 as it draws cues from the TVS X electric scooter with its chiseled front with aggressive contours in the centre and winglets in the flanks giving it a wide presence. The front of the scooter is now adorned with new ‘T’ shaped LED DRLs along with quad-projector LED headlights that are surrounded by a gloss black panel. The new rear LED taillight also emulates a ‘T’ shape and it still has the slatted vent motif similar to the Ntorq 125.

The Ntorq 150 gets 12-inch alloy wheels with tires that have identical dimensions to the Ntorq 125. The seat of the scooter is 765mm long and the seat height is set at 770mm. It has a ground clearance of 155mm. It is available in four colour schemes — Turbo Blue, Nitro Green, Racing Red and Stealth Silver.

TVS Ntorq 150 features and equipment

The Ntorq 150 gets a host of new features such as a full-colour TFT cluster screen from the TVS RTR 310, that gets gaming inspired themes, custom widgets for weather/sports updates, social media notifications, Alexa integration and auto-screen brightness along with the familiar four-way navigation switchcubes. It has two ride modes — Street and Race mode. Additionally, it features a quad-projector LED headlight setup which is a first in the segment. It also gets riding and safety aids such as single-channel ABS at the front and a traction control system. The Ntorq 150 has a 2-litre front glovebox and a 22-litre under-seat storage space with a USB charging port. There’s also adjustable brake levers on offer.

TVS Ntorq 150 engine and chassis

The Ntorq 150 is powered by a 149.7cc 3-valve single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is derived from the 125cc unit of the Ntorq 125. It produces 13bhp and 14.2Nm with iGO hybrid assist. It has a top speed of 104kmph and does 0 to 60kmph in a claimed 6.3 seconds. The iGO hybrid assist is powered by the 12V-5Ah battery that enables a boost mode that is available across the rev range. The Ntorq 150 gets a 220mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. It still gets 12-inch alloy wheels shod in tubeless tyres. The suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and coil springs with hydraulic damping at the rear. The chassis is derived from the Ntorq 125, but made stiffer to account for the extra power and increased kerb weight which is now 115kg from 111kg in the 125cc model. It gets a 5.8-litre fuel tank.
