Yezdi Roadster launched at ₹2.09 lakh
The 2025 Yezdi Roadster gets updates to the engine, chassis and styling;
The 2025 Yezdi Roadster is Yezdi's fresh new take on its sporty modern classic. Classic Legends has been trying to become ‘the’ place to go for modern classic machines with the re-introduction of the Yezdi and Jawa brands. Will this happen with the launch of the 2025 Yezdi Roadster? It remains to be seen. But here's what it has to offer.
Yezdi Roadster Styling
The Yezdi Roadster gets tweaks to the styling that lends it a bigger bike feel. It sports a similar front-end design to the outgoing model but gets a completely redesigned tail section, courtesy of a chopped rear fender. The wider 150-section rear tyre adds to the roadster's appeal, and the top-end Shadow Black colour comes with multi-functional blinkers that double as taillights, further enhancing its roadster-esque silhouette.
Yezdi Roadster Engine Propulsion duties on the Yezdi Roadster are handled by the new Alpha 2 generation engine that also does duties on the new Yezdi Adventure. It remains to be a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled alpha-2 engine that produces 29bhp and 30Nm of torque that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. However, it gets revised throttle maps and gear ratios for better refinement and in-gear acceleration. The Yezdi Roadster sports a 12.5 litre fuel tank which promises a range of over 350 km.
Yezdi Roadster Chassis, brakes and suspension
The chassis on the bike remains unchanged but it does sport a new subframe and a revised swingarm to make way for the wider 150-section rear tyre. The telescopic front fork remains unchanged but there twin rear shocks are mounted differently and Yezdi claims that this will result in better ride and handling. This will be verified when we get our hands on the motorcycle. The bike has centre-forward footpegs that, coupled with a 795mm seat height makes for a relaxed riding triangle. Stopping power comes from ByBre-sourced 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes aided by a dual-channel ABS from Continental. The Yezdi Roadster gets a split seat design, with just one click functionality to remove or put back the pillion seat.
Yezdi Roadster colours, customisation and price
From the factory the Yezdi Roadster will have the option of 6 factory custom kits and 50+ customisation options. Prices for the Roadster starts at ₹2.09 lakh for the Sharkskin Blue, ₹2.12 lakh for Smoke Grey, ₹2.16 lakh for Bloodrush Maroon, ₹2.21 lakh for Savage Green and ₹2.25 lakh for the Shadow Black colour.
