2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire scores 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash test

Both the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno were tested in the Bharat NCAP crash test;

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire scores a 5-star rating in BNCAP.

After scoring a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash tests previously, the 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has gone on to score a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test as well. In addition to the Dzire, Bharat NCAP also crash tested the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the hatchback scored a 4-star safety rating in the crash tests.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire was the first Maruti Suzuki model to score a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test, and when it comes to the Bharat NCAP crash tests, the sedan scored 29.46 points out of a maximum 32 points for adult occupant protection. The Dzire scored 41.57 points out of a maximum of 49.00 points for child occupant protection. When it comes to safety equipment, the Dzire comes with six airbags as standard on all variants, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist and ESC.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Two variants of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno were tested in the Bharat NCAP crash tests – one equipped with two airbags and one equipped with six airbags. The Baleno also gets safety equipment such as ESC, hill hold Assist, ABS with EBD as a part of its feature list. As for the crash test results, the Baleno equipped with six airbags scored 26.52 points out of a maximum 32.00 points for adult occupant protection. Meanwhile, the variant equipped with two airbags scored 24.04 points out of a maximum 32.00 points for adult occupant protection. Both variants of the Baleno scored 34.81 points out of a maximum of 49.00 points in child occupant protection.

Earlier this year, the company also equipped the Alto K10, Celerio, WagonR and Eeco with 6 airbags, and this means that you now get 6 airbags as standard in the entire Maruti Suzuki Arena range. And with safety becoming an increasingly important factor in car buying decisions, seeing Maruti Suzuki embrace the trend is a welcome move.
