BYD has announced pricing for the Seal for the 2025 model year

BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD (Build Your Dreams) Global, has announced the pricing for the 2025 Seal. The Base variant starts at ₹41lakhs, which remains unchanged from the previous year. The other two variants, BYD SEAL Premium (RWD) and BYD Seal Performance (AWD) have received a price bump of ₹15,000 each. The effective prices for the same are ₹45,70,000 for the BYD Seal Premium (RWD) and ₹53,15,000 for the BYD Seal Performance (AWD) variant.

With the bump in price, BYD has also added a few features for the 2025 model year.

On the performance front, the BYD Seal receives suspension upgrades. The Performance trim sees the debut of the Disus-C system, which provides comfort on bouncy roads and stiffens up the car when cornered hard to get the best of both worlds. The Premium version comes with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) that were earlier only offered on the Performance variant. This gives the car a good balance of ride and handling while making it accessible to customers who choose a lower trim. 

On the inside, the car now comes with a powered sunshade, a new silver-plated dimming canopy to keep the harsh light out and the ambience serene.

The car also gets a new module for air purification and for enhanced cooling a larger compressor to aid the air conditioner.

All BYD Seal models now receive wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

On the battery front, the BYD Seal comes with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) low voltage battery (LVB) offering that's six times lighter as compared to conventional low-voltage batteries, has five times better self-discharge consumption, and a 15-year lifespan.

For perspective, the lifespan of the EQS's battery is rated anywhere between 10-20 years depending on the usage.
