Day 23 – Renault India Diamond Trail – Kwid goes for servicing

With 8500km clocked on the odometer it was time for the Kwid to go for servicing. Yes, periodic servicing is after 10,000km or one year but with the amount of bad roads the Kwid had been through, it was wise to get it serviced in Guwahati. The crew too got some much needed rest as some of us have been on the India Diamond Trail for more than three weeks straight.

The journey from Dibrugarh to Guwahati was fairly short as we didn’t halt much for shoots. One of the major shooting destinations which was Kibithu was now wrapped up. We passed the Kaziranga National Park yet again and the weather this time was worth experiencing. Light pre-monsoon showers and cloudy skies amongst lush green hills made it for a scenic drive.

One major concern on this entire drive however is the amount of cattle that obstruct the flow of the roads. These stray animals pose a major threat to motorists and it’s high time that authorities find a solution for this problem. The Kwid is however agile enough to dodge the obstacles as it is lightweight and peppy.

We’re next headed to Siliguri on the India Diamond Trail. Stay tuned.
