JK Tyre FMSCI National Karting Championship Round-1

Chennai’s Nirmal Umashankar leads the Senior category and Bengaluru’s Mihir Suman Avalakki is on top of the leaderboard after round one of the Junior category of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Karting Championship 2019, held at the Meco Kartopia in Bengaluru.

X-30 Senior Category

Nirmal Umashankar, a seasoned driver from Chennai, is a regular in the Euro JK category of the JK National Racing Championship. Despite finishing third in the opening race, he won the next three races, accumulating 36 points after round one. Hot on his heels is Delhi’s Debarun Banerjee, with 24 points and two second-place finishes in the last two races. M R Rishon is third, with 23 points after securing two third-place finishes and one second-place finish.

X-30 Junior Category

Mihir Suman Avalakki did not have a very good start, finishing sixth in the first race. But, he secured the first position in the following three races, bagging 33 points, and was the leader after round one. Arjun S Nair scored 24 points with three podium finishes, ending the round in the second spot. Ruhaan Alva is on the third spot with 23 points. He started the round by winning the opening race and finishing second in the next race but could not finish the third race. He recovered well in the final race finishing third.

X-30 Cadet

Ishaan Madesh from Bengaluru took the first spot with three first and one second-place finish with 37 points. On the second spot is Saathvik Raju, also from Bengaluru, with 30 points. Pune’s Shriya Lohia finished third, with 25 points.
