Overall, Oriol Mena is placed 19th, while C S Santosh is in 21st position. Oriol Mena tackling the dunes on day 2

The initial stages on day 2 of the rally saw Mena ride without any hiccups, but in the later part of the stage, he encountered an electrical snag on his bike and lost precious time. Displaying an example of sportsmanship yet again, team mate C S Santosh, who was behind Mena, stopped over and extended support till Mena’s bike was up and running. Santosh had a decent run, without any hiccups in this stage.

The second day of the Merzouga Rally saw the competitors cover 175.3km, again consisting of two loops, one in north and the other in south. This section presented a mix of fast tracks and dunes providing navigational challenges and it turned out to be a physically demanding stage. Competitors who had no difficulties tackling this terrain must be at ease for the next two days, as the next two stages are expected to be a little less demanding.
