TVS Racing leads in three categories in round five of INRC 2018

TVS Racing, the factory racing team of the TVS Motor Company ended the round five of the Indian National Rally Championship by leading in three major categories in Coimbatore last weekend.

24-year-old Harith Noah who clean-swept the 2017 MRF MoGrip Supercross championship finished at the top spot in the Superbike Pro Expert category while Rajendra RE grabbed the pole in the Super Sport 260 category. On the other hand Imran Pasha in his RTR 160 4V, finished ahead of all the competition in the Super Sport 165 category while Syed Asif Ali, one of the most experienced riders of TVS Racing, finished second in the 210cc scooters category.

Commenting on the team’s performance, B Selvaraj, Team Manager, TVS Racing said, “The 5th round of INRC was challenging and I am glad that the team continues to lead across three categories. Harith, Rajendra and Imran were in excellent form and outclassed the competition with their performance. It was also heartening to see Nataraj, who was leading the championship until the last stage, put up a good show despite an injury. This strong performance will boost the confidence of our racers as they go into the final round of the championship.”

The racers covered a distance of over 111km across four stages in the rally that was hosted in Coimbatore on July 28 and 29. The final round of INRC 2018 will take place in Mangalore on October 27 and 28.
