Ashok Leyland showcase their vehicle line-up at the Global Conference 2018

Ashok Leyland came up with its entire range of innovative product line-up at the and industry solutions at its annual Global Conference 2018 in Chennai. The venue witnessed the commercial vehicle manufacturer display its current as well as current vehicle line-up which included trucks, buses, light commercial vehicles, defence vehicles, spare parts, network development, power solutions, etc. This year Ashok Leyland is celebrating 70 years of operations in the country.

The manufacturer showcased the fictional Transformers movie character, the Bumblebee, which was made entirely by combining different spare parts of Ashok Leyland vehicles. Along with the vehicles, Ashok Leyland also displayed their engines, quick service bays along with mobile diesel power generator solution. The Neptune engine displayed is one of the most powerful engines made by the manufacturer, it develops 300-360bhp at 2200rpm and a peak torque of 1475Nm at 1400-1600rpm.

The conference threw light on the development of iEGR (Intelligent Exhaust Gas Re-circulation) for BS-IV vehicle along with digital market place solutions offered. The company currently has iAlert system which makes use of cameras and sends feedback via the network to the owner and the Ley assistance program provides roadside assistance for the drivers. The Leykart is an online spares shopping platform while the Service mandi helps drivers find out nearest service centres to get their Ashok Leyland vehicles serviced along with the service centre rating based on the scale of 1-5.

Sharing his views at the Global Conference 2018, Mr. Vinod K Dasari, Managing Director, Ashok Leyland, said, “Last year has been a good year for us.
