Auto Expo 2018: Mahindra unveils G4 Rexton along with TUV Stinger concept

Mahindra & Mahindra unveiled a large array of vehicles in varying segments today at the Auto Expo 2018. As promised by the homegrown brand, Mahindra unveiled the ‘Future of Mobility’ concepts at the expo and lined up its massive electric vehicle (EV) portfolio. Mahindra says that with this range of vehicles, it is future ready and that they are based on ‘3Cs’ – Clean, Connected and Convenient.

The G4 Rexton is a rebranded Ssangyong Rexton that will come to India as Mahindra branded product will be launched in India under an all-new brand name and is Ssangyong’s flagship SUV in international markets. The Rexton comes with a 7-speed Mercedes-BenzTM automatic transmission and its new 2.2L engine delivers 178bhp power and 420NM torque.

Unveiled alongside the G4 was the TUV Stinger. The concept tries to blend the practicality of an SUV and the styling of a convertible. It’s powered by a mHawk engine which delivers 140bhp and 320Nm of torque.

Mahindra stayed true to their ‘Future of Mobility’ theme by showcasing a plethora of electric transport solutions. This included the UDO, a stylish 2 seater electric pod concept; the ATOM, a new age urban mobility solution for emerging India; the Treo, a cutting-edge Lithium-ion battery powered electric three-wheeler; the e2o NXT, a refreshed version of the e2oPlus hatchback; the eKUV100, India’s first electric mini SUV; and the e-Cosmo, the company’s new electric bus. Mahindra also showcased some of its customized products like the KUV100 Adventure Edition, and the Thar Day Break.
