AXOR unveils the world’s lightest triple-certified off-road helmet: AXOR MX Carbon

The MX Carbon off-road helmet was just unveiled by AXOR, Vega Auto’s premium helmet brand. The brand claims this is the World’s lightest triple-certified off-road helmet, thanks to its carbon-fibre shell and meets ECE 22.06, DOT and ISI certification requirements.

According to AXOR, the primary challenge in engineering the MX Carbon was reducing weight while continuing to meet the certification requirements expected of a performance oriented off-road helmet. The reduction in weight helps reduce the strain and fatigue faced by riders during off-road riding and improves comfort during longer rides and technical terrain.

AXOR claims this was possible thanks to Vega Auto’s 28 year long journey with carbon fibre and composite engineering, with the MX Carbon representing the result of that journey bringing the brand’s expertise together to create a purpose-built off-road helmet. The helmet will be manufactured at the Belgaum plant. As of writing the AXOR MX Carbon is priced at ₹ 20,060

Vega Auto has also recently invested around 2 crore in its composite manufacturing capabilities and scaled its composite division to three times its 2020 capacity.
