MY 2025 Ducati Panigale V2's lighter weight accounts for the lower peak output than before
Ducati has brought the 2025 Panigale V2 and V2 S to India, following the launch of the Multistrada V2 and V2 S. The new V2 range starts from ₹19.12 lakh, and is now compliant with Indian E20 fuel regulations. Both the variants will only be available in Ducati Red colour. Here's a look at what all is new for MY 2025.
2025 Ducati Panigale V2 & V2 S design and equipment
Ducati has drawn cues from their flagship model, the Panigale V4 in the aesthetics of the MY 2025 Panigale V2 with its full-LED headlight and DRL along with a reworked tank profile. The seat height sits at 838mm for easy manoeuvrability and ability for riders to get their feet on the ground. The V2 S only gets a single-seater configuration as standard and is available with a passenger seat as an optional accessory, while the V2 comes in a two-seater layout as standard. Additionally, the V2 S comes equipped with a lithium battery as opposed to a lead-acid battery on the V2. The bikes get the following standard equipment – a new 5-inch TFT display, 6D IMU-based ABS; DTC (traction control); Ducati Wheelie Control; Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 and Engine Brake Control. There are four riding modes — Race, Sport, Road and Wet. The V2 S also gets Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Pit Limiter as standard, which are available as optional accessories on the base V2 variant.
2025 Ducati Panigale V2 & V2 S engine and chassis
The Panigale V2 is powered by the new 890cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with an intake variable valve timing system. It churns out a peak output of 118.3bhp at 10,750rpm and 93.3Nm at 8,250rpm. While the power and torque output is a fair bit lower than the previous-gen Panigale V2, the lower weight and new chassis should more than make up for it. It is also in line with the new crop of middle-weight super sport bikes from other manufacturers, all of which will eventually be raced in the middle-weight categories of WSBK and so on. Chassis-wise, its monocoque aluminium frame and upgraded double-sided swingarm are inspired from the Panigale V4. Suspension duties on the base V2 are carried out by a 43mm Marzocchi fork and Kayaba monoshock, both of which are fully-adjustable. Whereas, the V2 S gets Ohlins NIX-30 fork and Ohlins shock absorber, again, fully-adjustable. The braking system is made up of Brembo’s M50 monobloc callipers on dual discs at the front and a single-piston calliper at the rear. The V2 S is lighter of the two at 175kg of wet weight without fuel as against the V2, weighing in at 179kg kerb weight excluding fuel. The difference is primarily courtesy the lighter lithium-ion battery, higher-spec suspension componentry and the lack of a pillion seat as standard. The bikes have a 15-litre fuel tank.
2025 Ducati Panigale V2 & V2 S price and availability
The base Panigale V2 is priced at ₹19.12 lakh, while the V2 S top-spec variant is priced at ₹21.10 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). These new bikes will be available in the Indian dealerships by the end of January 2026.
