Ducati unveils Superleggera V4 Centenario, its most extreme road-legal motorcycle yet
Limited to 500 units, Ducati’s centenary superbike features a full carbon chassis, world’s first bike with carbon-ceramic brakes and up to 244bhp in track disguise;
Ducati has revealed the Superleggera V4 Centenario, a limited-edition superbike created to celebrate the brand’s 100th anniversary. Production is capped at just 500 numbered units, alongside 100 Tricolore versions, making it one of the most exclusive motorcycles to come out of Borgo Panigale. Based on Ducati’s latest superbike platform, the Superleggera V4 Centenario focuses heavily on lightweight construction and race-derived technology, delivering what the company calls its most extreme road-legal motorcycle ever. Here’s everything it offers.
Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario design and aerodynamics
The fairing is made largely from exposed carbonfibre and incorporates aerodynamic wings and corner sidepods derived from Ducati’s superbike programme. The bike debuts a new Rosso Centenario livery created to mark the manufacturer’s centenary, which has also inspired its 2026 racing liveries in MotoGP and SBK.
Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario engine and performance
Power comes from a new Desmosedici Stradale R 1100 engine. Displacement increases to 1103cc thanks to a longer stroke, improving torque and mid-range performance. In road-legal configuration, the engine produces 225bhp at 14,500rpm and 117.6Nm at 10,500rpm, while output rises to 244bhp at 14,750rpm and 126.3Nm at 12,500rpm with the Akrapovic racing exhaust. Ducati claims a power-to-weight ratio of 1.45bhp per kg, placing it among the most extreme production motorcycles ever built.

Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario chassis, brakes and suspension
A major highlight is the braking setup – the Superleggera V4 Centenario is claimed to be the first road-legal motorcycle equipped with carbon-ceramic brake discs. Developed with Brembo, the discs reduce weight and inertia while maintaining consistent braking performance under extreme conditions. The system also uses Brembo GP4-HY monoblock calipers with integrated cooling fins and an anti-drag system. Suspension duties are handled by the Ohlins NPX 25/30 Carbon pressurised fork with carbon-fibre sleeves – another first for a road-legal bike. At the rear, an Ohlins TTX36 GP LW shock absorber with MotoGP-derived valving aims to improve bump absorption and adjustability.
Its carbonfibre frame, swingarm and bodywork, contribute to a weight of 173kg without fuel and 167kg with the bundled racing kit
Lightness remains central to the Superleggera philosophy. The Centenario features a full carbonfibre chassis, including the frame, swingarm, subframes and wheels. This results in a claimed wet weight of 173kg without fuel, which drops to 167kg when equipped with the supplied racing kit. Ducati says the carbon front frame is lighter than the aluminium unit on the Panigale V4 while maintaining stiffness levels that improve cornering precision and grip.
Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario exclusivity and ownership
The Superleggera V4 Centenario will be delivered in a dedicated wooden crate with a certificate of authenticity, racing kit and bespoke accessories such as a machined aluminium racing fuel cap, headlight, side stand, number plate holder and indicators removal kit, battery charger, paddock stands, mat and motorcycle cover. Additionally, 26 owners will get access to a special MotoGP Experience, including a track session guided by Ducati instructors.
