Honda NX500 E-Clutch launched in India ₹7.44 lakh
Honda Motorcycle India now has a response to BMW F 450 GS with an E-clutch variant of its mid-sized ADV which carries on with the same powertrain
This newly launched Honda NX500 E-Clutch variant commands a premium of ₹1.11 lakh over the old model
Honda Motorcycle India launches the 2026 NX500 E-Clutch with prices starting from ₹7.44 lakh (ex-showroom). What’s this major tech upgrade? The E-clutch is an electronic assist system which aids in gear shifts, setting off and coming to a halt, cruising as well as idling in traffic conditions, saving rider fatigue from manually modulating the clutch. However, manual operation or override functionality is baked into it.
Honda NX500 E-Clutch engine and equipment
Apart from the above upgrade, the NX500 E-Clutch continues to cradle the familiar 471cc, parallel-twin engine in its steel diamond frame, and is driven via a six-speed transmission (now automated). It churns out a max output of 46.9bhp at 8600rpm and 43Nm of torque at 6500rpm. On the equipment front, it packs a Showa SFF-BP USD front fork, Dual front brake rotors and single rear brake rotor. There are also rider aids like dual-channel ABS and Honda’s proprietary traction control system. NX500’s tech features include a 5-inch colour TFT cluster screen, Honda RoadSync enables navigation, calls and music via Bluetooth as well as standard all-LED lighting.
This E-Clutch variant gets the same 471cc, parallel-twin engine; puts out 46.9bhp and 43Nm just like before
Honda NX500 E-Clutch design
Like its powertrain, the design also remains unchanged. It still features a butch-looking, Honda-ADV stance from its staggered setup with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. It is only available in two colour schemes – 'Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic' and 'Pearl Horizon White.'
Honda NX500 E-Clutch price and rivals
The Honda NX500 E-Clutch is priced from ₹7.44 lakh. For context, the manual model is still listed for ₹6.33 lakh which means that the new model commands a premium of about ₹1.11 lakh. Honda's intentions of keeping the old model on sale are still unclear. Its obvious and only rival is the BMW F 450 GS with Easy Ride Clutch, which is priced at ₹5.3 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
