Honda unveils 2027 Africa Twin, Fireblade and V3R 900 E-Compressor at EICMA 2026
Honda has unveiled its 2027 flagship bike lineup, including the Africa Twin, CBR 1000RR Fireblade and V3R 900 E-Compressor
Honda showcased the brand's lineup of flagship motorcycles, from the brand’s CBR 1000RR-R to the brand's planned production model for the V3R 900 E-Compressor and the fully redesigned 2026 Africa Twin adventure bikes at EICMA 2026.
2027 CRF1150L Africa Twin
Honda’s Africa Twin series is an icon of the brand, and the 2027 Africa Twin series builds on that with a focus on weight reduction and a lower centre of gravity. Honda offers the 2027 Africa Twin in three flavours: Africa Twin, Africa Twin Adventure Sports and Africa Twin Enduro Sports, which will be powered by a 1,131cc liquid-cooled parallel twin that produces 119bhp and 119Nm. The Adventure Sports variants also get a dual-clutch transmission and Honda’s Sensing Ride advanced safety system, which sports a millimetre-wave radar unit mounted at both ends of the motorcycle to accurately detect the surroundings and gets blind-spot detection, group ride assist and collision avoidance.
2027 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade
The Fireblade is Honda’s flagship superbike and has been completely redesigned for 2027, with 75 per cent of the motorcycle components being freshly designed, Honda claims. The bike has received a new aluminium twin-tube frame and a redesigned swingarm. The 993cc liquid-cooled inline four is retained, which produces 211.6bhp at 14,000rpm and 114Nm at 10,500rpm. The engine now receives a two-stage variable-length air intake. Honda has also adopted a titanium fuel tank to further bring the weight down.
The 2027 Fireblade lineup has three offerings: the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and the newly introduced CBR1000RR-R Fireblade HRC works edition. The HRC works edition has been introduced as a homologation model for the Superbike World Championship and gets front winglets at the front to improve aerodynamics, a bottom-neutral shift system, and many other racing components.
Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor
Honda also showcased the planned production model of the V3R 900 E-Compressor, which is powered by a proprietary 900cc V3 engine which is connected to an electronically controlled compressor. Honda is aiming to extract performance equivalent to a 1200cc motorcycle from the 900cc engine; however, at the time of writing, no power figures have been given.
The planned production model of the V3R 900 E-Compressor features an asymmetrical design and incorporates a titanium fuel tank and exhaust system. It is also going to feature an enhanced version of Honda RoadSync.
