Jawa Motorcycles introduce two new colours for the Jawa

On International Jawa day, Jawa Motorcycles has introduced two new colours for the Jawa, Khaki and Midnight Grey under the Forever Heroes initiative to pay homage to the heroes of the 1971 war on the 50th anniversary of the same. The Forever heroes initiative is an attempt to commemorate the sacrifices and efforts of the Indian armed forces and help the families of the martyrs through fundraisers, rides and more.

The two new colours come in a matte finish, with matte black engine blocks and brushed fins following the all-black theme on the mechanical parts of the bike. The fuel tank features the 1971 War Victory commemorative insignia of the Indian Army along with the tricolour stripes that run along the length of the tank. The Khaki colour adds to the retro look of the bike with the appeal of an army vehicle, whereas the Midnight Grey adds a stealthy look.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO, Classic Legends, said, “We have a special place in our heart for the men and women who protect our nation. We call them Forever Heroes and it’s the cornerstone of Jawa’s existence. It gives us immense pride to dedicate the Jawa Khakhi and Jawa Midnight Grey to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1971 war victory. As a company we are honoured to carry the Indian Army’s insignia on our motorcycles that will forever remind the riders of the bravery and sacrifices made by our soldiers to keep our motherland protected.”

The powertrain on the Jawa remains the same with a 293cc, single-cylinder engine producing 27bhp and 27Nm of torque. The special edition colour variants come with the same retuned suspensions, frame set-up and exhaust note along with the enhanced seat and a trip meter as the entire updated Jawa Motorcycle range.

The Khaki and Midnight Grey Jawa will be available only on the dual-channel ABS version. At Rs 1.93 lakh, ex-showroom, it costs Rs 6000 more than the standard dual-channel ABS variant.
