Bugatti Divo to be unveiled at The Quail

Bugatti has released a teaser which shows the silhouette of the Divo, which seems to be completely different from the Chiron. Bugatti will reveal the Divo at The Quail on August 24th, 2018. Bugatti says that the new hypercar is based on the Chiron, but it is not built for outright speed, but is ‘built for corners’.

Bugatti has termed the Divo as the best cornering Bugatti ever. This means that the Chrion based hypercar will be more of a track-focused machine. The Divo will be powered by the same 8.0-litre quad-turbo W12 that the Chiron has. However, the car will have a re-worked body and re-calibrated suspension to make sure it takes the corners better. The blue veil in the teaser image highlights the Divo’s design which is unlike the Chiron, shows that the car will have a huge rear wing and flared wheel arches, most probably to house massive wheels. The Divo will also have a very racecar like front splitter canard.

The hypercar was christened after the French racecar driver, Albert Divo who won the Targa Florio race in 1928 and 1929. Bugatti has announced that the production of the Divo will be limited to 40 units and priced at Rs 40 crore
