Bugatti has announced a brand new limited edition hypercar named the Divo. It is named after Albert Divo, the French racing driver who won the famous Targa Florio mountain race twice for Bugatti. Bugatti says that the Divo will be lighter, more agile and aerodynamically aggressive compared to the Chiron. The hypercar will be priced at a whopping €5 million which is approximately Rs 40 crore.

‘With this project, the Bugatti team has an opportunity to interpret the brand DNA in terms of agile, nimble handling in a significantly more performance-oriented way.’ said Stephan Winkelmann, Bugatti president

The Divo, thanks to its dynamics will have better handling. Its distinct design shows dynamic focus and more aerodynamic output. The hypercar will feature a more advanced active aerodynamic system as compared to the Veyron and the Chiron. However the Divo will share its chassis and powertrain with the Chiron. The motor and gearbox combination has not been confirmed by Bugatti yet. It may get the magnificent 8-litre, quad-turbo W16 engine that churns out 1476bhp which will be mated to a Ricardo-built dual-clutch gearbox.

The Divo, as dynamic and poweful as it will be, is limited to only 40 units worldwide. It will premiere at ‘The Quail’ which is an exotic motorsports gathering in California on 24, August 2018.
