Toyota has launched the Camry Hybrid Sprint Edition in India for Rs 48.5 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition carries the same mechanical package but has a sportier look and some added features.
The Sprint Edition has a dual-tone exterior with matte black accents on the hood, roof, and tailgate, giving it a more aggressive look. It comes with new 18-inch matte black alloy wheels and a sports kit that includes a front body kit and a rear spoiler for a sporty appearance. Inside, it has door warning lamps and ambient lighting that the regular model does not offer.
Both versions have the same engine: a hybrid 2.5-litre with an e-CVT transmission and a lithium-ion battery. Power outputs stand at 227bhp and torque at 221Nm. This remains unchanged from the standard Camry.
The Camry and the Camry Sprint Edition have the same feature list, including the 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support and memory, ventilated seats, head-up display, memory settings for the outside rear-view mirrors, and the tilt-telescopic steering wheel.
With the rear armrest touch-control, you can deploy or retract the rear sun-shade, audio controls, and climate control.
The Sprint edition also gets the same comprehensive safety features that the standard car gets. This includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, multiple airbags, stability control, and other driver aids. It also gets an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the hybrid battery. The Sprint Edition and the regular Camry are priced the same, which is great if you want a little more bang for your buck.
