Jeep Compass Sport launched, prices start at ₹21.99 lakh
Jeep’s entry-level Compass now gets a 9-speed automatic, making it the cheapest automatic Compass ever sold in India
Jeep India has launched the Compass Sport with a 9-speed automatic gearbox, and prices start from ₹21.99 lakh ex-showroom. The Compass Sport is the most affordable automatic variant of the Jeep to be offered in India, and here is a closer look at the SUV.
Jeep Compass Sport design
The look stays identical to the entry-level Compass, with the distinctive Jeep design and road presence that the SUV is known for. The Compass Sport gets electrically adjustable door mirrors as standard. An optional Accessory Pack, priced at ₹29,900, adds a Swoosh decal and mud flaps for those who want to personalise it.
The Compass Sport also gets an unchanged interior layout along with the 8.39cm-inch Uconnect touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with steering-mounted controls and cruise control. Six airbags and Auto Hold come as standard, and Auto Hold should be handy in stop-and-go traffic with the automatic gearbox. The optional Accessory Pack adds ambient lighting, a dashcam and all-weather floor mats.
Jeep Compass Sport engine and suspension
The Jeep Compass Sport is powered by the same 2.0 litre MultiJet II turbo-diesel engine as the existing Compass, making 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox that Jeep says is designed for smooth and effortless everyday driving. The SUV also gets Frequency Selective Damping suspension for a composed ride, and Dynamic Steering Torque for responsive handling.
Jeep Compass Sport price
The Jeep Compass Sport is launched at ₹21.99 lakh ex-showroom, with deliveries starting from the second week of November 2026 at Jeep dealerships and Stellantis Brand Houses across India. The wider Compass range continues to offer manual and automatic gearboxes and a choice of both 2WD as well as 4WD across the model line-up.
