2026 Mercedes-Benz V-Class
Mercedes-Benz has launched the V-Class in India today. The V-Class is being positioned in the TEV segment as a luxury MPV and is competing with the likes of the Toyota Vellfire and the Lexus LM. Mercedes-Benz has brought to India the extra-long wheelbase version of the V-Class which is now 5370mm long and that makes it the longest car in its segment.
With this being the new-generation of the V-Class, it now gets enough technology and features to compete with other luxury MPVs in the segment. The demand for luxury MPV is rising with the increased sales of the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM, so Mercedes-Benz had to join in with the updated model to get on board with the rising demand.

The 2026 V-Class comes standard with the AMG-line package which includes more aggressive bumpers, sculpted air dams and a star-pattern grill with an illuminated strip alongside it. The new V-Class has 5 different colour options to choose from, silver, white, blue, black and alpine grey. The electric sliding doors can now be operated from the keyfob itself. The tailgate of the V-Class also has a split-opening function for easier access. When it comes to the wheelbase, the V-Class is only offered in the extra-long wheelbase in India at 5370mm which makes it the longest MPV in its class when compared to the Toyota Vellfire and the Lexus LM.
Mercedes-Benz V-Class interior
As standard in the V-class you get a six-seat configuration with two first-class seats and two regular captain seats at the back. The seat ventilation function is offered even in the 3rd row of seats if you do not spec the first-class in the V-Class.
The seats of the V-Class are now on rails, which means you can interchange them as per your usage from the company itself. The V-Class seat configuration can also be changed later too from Mercedes-Benz dealerships as the seats are now placed on rails. The interior can be chosen in either black or beige Lugano leather upholstery. The V-Class gets a 640W Burmester sound system and 64 colour ambient lighting options.
In the front the V-Class gets 12.3-inch screens and a familiar steering wheel from the last generation of passenger cars. The front seats also offer ventilation, heating and massage functions. The V-Class gets seven airbags, with one side airbag which extends all the way from the A to the D pillar of the van. For the driver it gets a 360-degree camera, blind-spot assist, lane assist, adaptive cruise control and a driver monitoring camera.
Mercedes-Benz V-Class powertrain and chassis
The V-Class now gets two engine options, one petrol, the V300 and one diesel, the V300d, both 2-litre four-cylinder units. The petrol engine produces 228bhp and has a hybrid motor that adds 20bhp, while the diesel produces 233bhp and 500Nm of torque. The V-Class gets air suspension as standard in both variants and India is the first market where Mercedes is offering this configuration. This system lowers the height automatically at higher speeds for more stability and it can be raised by 25mm when the extra clearance is needed.
