Tata Altroz facelift is the only premium hatchback in the segment with a 5-star BNCAP safety rating.
The Altroz facelift gets crash tested in the Bharat NCAP, following the Harrier EV as both models have secured a 5-star crash safety rating that has become a hallmark of all the passenger cars from Tata Motors.
The premium Tata Motors hatchback scored 29.65 points out of a maximum of 32 points for adult occupant protection and scored 44.90 points out of a maximum of 49 points with regards to child occupant protection.

On the safety equipment front, Tata Motors has armed the Altroz facelift with six airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as part of the standard equipment. It also gets features like ISOFIX child seat anchor points, LED fog lamps, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), automatic headlights and windshield wipers and an array of 360-degree cameras. The facelift brings an SOS Calling Function to the top-spec, Accomplished+ S variant that will allow distressed passengers to notify and call the emergency services in the event of an accident or a breakdown.
It is worth pointing out that the Altroz facelift is the only car in its class that has scored a 5-star BNCAP rating. The other premium hatchbacks in the segment like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has a BNCAP safety rating of 4 stars with a score of 26.52 / 32 points for adult occupant protection and 3 stars with a score of 34.81 / 49.00 points for child occupant protection; the Hyundai i20 has not been crash tested in the Bharat NCAP.
