The Dark Knight of EVs: Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition launched at ₹27.79 lakh

Mahindra launches the BE 6 Batman Edition which is created in partnership with Warner Bros. It is limited to 300 units and the bookings open on August 23. This collector's-edition EV is based on the top-spec Pack Three 79kWh variant. Priced at ₹27.79 lakh, it costs ₹89,000 more. Its exclusive satin black paint scheme gives the SUV a stealthy look and it gets Batman logos inspired from Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy. Let’s get to know more about it.

This BE 6 gets a custom satin black exterior finish with a custom Batman decal on the front doors, 20-inch wheels with bat logo hubcaps. It also features contrasting ‘Alchemy Gold’ paint for the suspension and the brake calipers. Additionally, there are bat emblems on the front fenders, rear bumper along with a BE 6 X Dark Knight emblem on the powered tailgate as well as a projected bat emblem via the puddle lamps.

The Batman theme continues on the inside with a brushed metal plaque on the centre console that bears the bat logo and number of the particular car amongst the 300 units. It gets a custom bat logo splash screen during the startup sequence. There are brushed gold details on the steering wheel’s twelve o’clock stripe at the top, electronic parking brake button and the key fob. The BE 6’s panoramic roof gets a big bat logo design embedded in the glass that is a part of the ambient lighting theme. The seats get a black on black treatment with bat insignia and the dashboard sports a pinstripe pattern with a Batman logo.

Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition performance and charging

The Batman Edition is based on the Pack Three 79kWh variant which is the top variant of the BE 6 and gets all its bells and whistles. It makes 282bhp and 380Nm of torque, with a single motor driving the rear wheels. It has a claimed MIDC range of 683km. The 79kWh battery pack supports fast charging with 20 per cent to 80 per cent in 20 minutes from a 175 kW DC charger.

At ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom), this Batman Edition demands a premium of ₹89,000 over the standard Pack Three 79kWh top variant. The bookings for this edition start on August 23. And being the International Batman Day, the deliveries will commence on September 20.
