Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro launched in India at Rs 19.99 lakh

Ducati India has finally launched the successor to the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, the Multistrada 1260 in India at Rs. 19.99 lakh. Being brought to India as a CBU from Thailand and not Italy, the prices are not as high as the V4 R or even the Monster 1200. The 1260 Enduro goes up against the likes of the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure Pro and Triumph Tiger 1200 XCx which are priced at Rs 21.95 lakh and Rs 17 lakh, respectively.

All about the Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro

Powering the 1260 Enduro is the same Testastretta 1262cc L-twin, four-valve, dual spark, liquid-cooled engine with Desmodromic Variable Timing housed in a Tubular steel Trellis frame. This behemoth of a motor puts down 156bhp of power at 9500rpm and 128Nm of torque at 7500rpm.

Suspension duties on the Enduro are carried out by a 48mm fully adjustable USD (upside down) forks with Evo Ducati Skyhook tech that allow electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment. Even the rear monoshock is completely adjustable. Dropping the anchors are two 320mm rotors clamped by Brembo M4.32 monobloc callipers up front and a 265mm single disc clamped by a two-pot floating Brembo calliper. The front and rear run a 19-inch and 17-inch wheel setup shod with knobbies. The stock seat height is at 860mm and there are accessories which allow the height to be reduced or increased based on rider preference. The Enduro weighs in at 254kg (kerb). The Enduro is also equipped with a host of electronics and rider aids including cornering ABS, traction control, quickshifter, a six-axis IMU and wheelie control.

Ducati has revised ergonomics of the bike by lowering the seat, handlebar and centre of gravity along with updated the suspension to improve ride and handling. Ducati is offering the Multistrada 1260 Enduro in two shades- Ducati Red (Rs 19.99 lakh) and Sand (Rs 20.23 lakh).

Still not satisfied? Fret not, Ducati is expected to showcase the V4 powered Multistrada at 2019 EICMA. It is expected to make power in the range of 190-200bhp! Exciting times ahead for sure.
