Skoda Kodiaq vRS unveiled

Team Evo India

After taking on the infamous Nürburgring – Nordschleife circuit in Germany, Skoda has finally unveiled their sporty SUV offering. With a top speed of 221 km/hr and sprinting from 0 to 100km/hr is just 6.9 seconds, it is the first SUV from the Czech manufacturer’s stable to earn the vRS badge.

The first Skoda sporting the vRS badge was the Octavia vRS launched in 2010 and since then Skoda has been showing off their badass side with a vRS iteration of most of their models.  The Skoda Kodiaq vRS is no different and in fact houses the most powerful diesel engine from the Skoda family. The 2.0-litre diesel engine packs 236 horses and a staggering 500Nm sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

Not only does the Skoda Kodiaq vRS get a maniac of an engine, Skoda has also blessed the car with 20-inch alloys, all-LED illumination for the headlights and the taillights. If this wasn’t enough, the brand offers all-wheel drive as standard. The car features a WiFi hotspot that enables access to Skoda Connect Services. To make things interesting, Skoda has come up with a “dynamic sound boost” that enhances the engine’s symphony.

To sum it up, this SUV not only pulls off record-setting lap times but can also be a great companion for a long drive with your family.
