Valley Run 2018 to be conducted from April 13-15

The Valley Run is a yearly drag race competition held in the scenic landscape of Aamby Valley City, near Lonavala. The sixth season will be conducted from April 13-15 this year. It is the most popular drag racing competition in the country and the venue is hosted on an airstrip, unlike on any racetrack. The event witnesses a legion of performance cars and bikes that gather to participate in a quarter-mile drag race. The vehicles that show up at the Valley Run are of various categories, sport extreme modifications along with different paint jobs.

Elite Octane Racing is the host of Valley Run and they also conducted round two of the India Speed Week on December 8-10, 2017 at Jakkur Aerodrome, Bengaluru. Valley Run 2017 claims to have set a benchmark in terms of safety, facilities, presence, participation and scale, and the organizers are aiming to bring unique and exciting elements in the current Valley Run. Ricky Gadson, the 11-time drag race champion, also had done demo runs in the previous year’s Valley Run. The venue witnesses participation of enthusiasts who drag performance cars including the Nissan GT-R, Mitsubishi Evolution X, Mercedes AMGs, Audi R8 along with the RS, BMW Ms, Lamborghinis, Porsches and Ferraris. The Valley Run is an eye candy for any automotive enthusiast.

Apart from the performance cars, small everyday utility cars with performance modifications including the Maruti Suzuki Zen, Honda Brio and Maruti Suzuki Esteem were also seen participating in the drag race. The drag races are conducted in different categories depending on the type of vehicles.
