Hyundai Venue facelift launching on June 16

Just days after confirming the Tucson facelift for this year, Hyundai India is now set to launch the Venue facelift on June 16. The facelifted Hyundai Venue receives plenty of design tweaks to keep it fresh and relevant. We can also expect to see a host of new equipment and interior tweaks, along with a price hike.

Hyundai India is keeping its lips sealed regarding any further details, but we now know what the Venue facelift looks like. The facelifted Venue retains the familiar silhouette, but the design of the DRL and the grille bear resemblance to the much larger Palisade sold globally. It also retains the same headlamp placement below the DRLs, and there’s a skid plate to protect the underbody from damage.

The rear of the Venue has been heavily redesigned

The rear is where things seem to have changed drastically. The tail lamps have been redesigned and there is now an LED strip running across the length of the tailgate — a design choice that is catching on quite well, but it also seems to resemble the Kia Sonet. The rear bumper has been tweaked heavily and just like at the front, there is a skid plate here as well.

The facelifted Hyundai Venue is expected to retain the same set of powertrains that are currently on offer — a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol (81bhp and 113.8Nm of torque), a 1-litre turbo-petrol (118bhp and 172Nm of torque), and 1.5-litre diesel (98bhp and 240Nm of torque), with various transmission options available.

The Hyundai Venue typically goes up against the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, which is also set to arrive in a facelifted form soon. Prices of the current Venue range between Rs 7.11 lakh to Rs 11.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and we can expect a slight price hike once the facelifted Venue is launched.
