Skoda launches Anniversary Edition for Slavia and Lava Blue Edition for Kushaq
Last month marked one year since the Slavia went on sale. To celebrate that and the recently awarded 5-star rating in the NCAP Global safety tests, Skoda has introduced a new special edition of the Slavia called the Anniversary Edition that starts at Rs 17.28 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, Skoda introduced a special ‘Lava Blue’ edition of the Kushaq that starts at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). These models will be available in the Lava blue shade found in Skoda’s premium models.
Skoda Slavia Anniversary Edition
A host of styling elements have been added to the Slavia for this special edition. For starters, the grille is now chrome, and there’s chrome garnish on the doors and the trunk as well. There are mud flaps both in the front and rear. On the C-pillar, you will find a sticker saying Anniversary Edition. The same is inscribed on the door sills, the steering wheel, the cushion pillow, and on the new mat in the driver’s footwell area. The previously discontinued 10-inch touchscreen has returned and is paired with a 380W sound system.
Skoda Kushaq Lava Blue Edition
Instead of featuring the Anniversary Edition badge, the Kushaq simply displays the word – Edition, which is written on the cushion pillow, new scuff plate, and on the B-pillar. Much like the Slavia, the exterior receives upgrades like the chrome grille and additional chrome garnish on the doors and trunk. Puddle lamps displaying the Skoda logo have also been added.

Skoda has given the 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol as the only engine option, though customers can choose between the 6-speed manual and the 7-speed DSG. The 1.5 TSI is capable of churning out 147bhp and 250Nm of torque. A key update is that these cars are now RDE compliant and can run on E20 ethanol-blend fuel. According to Skoda, this results in a 5 percent improvement in fuel efficiency for the Slavia and a 7 percent improvement for the Kushaq.

The Slavia’s new Anniversary Edition sits on top of the range and costs Rs 17.28 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual variant which is Rs 28,000 more than the Style variant. For the automatic, upgrading to the new Anniversary Edition will cost you an extra Rs 23,000 from the Style DSG, with the price being Rs 18.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
As for the Kushaq, the new Edition variant is positioned between the Style and the Monte Carlo variants. The price for the manual and automatic variants starts at Rs 17.99 lakh and Rs 19.19 lakh respectively which is Rs 50,000 less than the top Monte Carlo variant in both cases.
